Former AMLSN President defends doctoral thesis with a distinction grade



Immediate past President of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Alhaji Toyosi Raheem has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis entitled 'mycobacteriosis and mechanisms of multi-drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Patients  in Lagos Nigeria: Roles of Efflux  Genes and Chemosensitizers' with an award of a distinction grade.


The highly elated TYR as he is fondly called took to WhatsApp to share the goodnews with fellow scientists as well as express his joy.

He wrote:
Thank you all my people! my people!
After convincing the panelists led by Prof. OA Coker formerly of College of Medicine of University of Lagos as External Examiner, and 5 other Professors from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, I successfully defended my PhD Thesis  titled Mycobacteriosis and Mechanisms of Multi drug Resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Patients  in Lagos Nigeria: Roles of Efflux  Genes and Chemosensitizers.
The defence lasted 2hrs 10minutes-130 minutes from 10.55 am to 1.05 pm.
At the the end of the assessment, the eminent professors on the Panel unanimously awarded my thesis and its defence a distinction grade!
